Purpose of Let’s Do Lunch AV! We believe that the healthiest businesses have the most diverse networks which have been developed on a personal basis. We all know that the best referrals that we can receive are from some one who knows us, likes us and trusts us. It’s not easy to create this kind of a relationship with a 1 minute intro & a business card! This is the reason this new and exciting networking program was created to introduce your own and each other's businesses, become each other's clients and provide each other with referrals to our AV Consumers. Antelope Valley Businesses have more power working together to support our economy and community. Please have fun with it and Let’s Do Lunch and Business AV! “Lunch Buddy” Etiquette The purpose of this program is to have each “Lunch Buddy” promote their business in a comfortable and relaxed setting. There are no time limits for speaking about each business, so every “Lunch Buddy” should respect the limited time in the lunch hour to allow each “Lunch Buddy” to speak. Each “Lunch Buddy” should take the opportunity to ask questions along with getting to know each other. These “Lunch Buddies” will be your future customers and word of mouth advertisements for your business. Your inexpensive participation pays for itself quickly, with new clients and referrals! Promote Yourself with Marketing Materials Don’t forget to bring your business cards and other marketing materials with you to leave more information on you and your business with your “Lunch Buddies”. You want this connection to be a long term connection long after your LDL meeting to enable your “Lunch Buddies” to refer you to your future customers. Lunch Attendance & Cancellation Policy If you have sent in an RSVP for a scheduled lunch and are not able to attend, please contact your lunch partners ASAP and also notify us that you can not be there. If 2 “Lunch Buddies” need to cancel, the lunch appointment can be kept if the remaining 2 “Lunch Buddies” agree to meet. Unfortunately, when you make a lunch date and then cancel, it could leave a negative opinion, even when you have a valid reason for cancelling. Because of this, you may send a partner or someone else who has knowledge of your business in your place, but it is not recommended as a common practice. Let’s Do Lunch AV! is word-of-mouth marketing so perception is an important piece of the puzzle. It’s easy! It’s inexpensive! And it’s effective! But just as it is EASY to do, it is also easy NOT to do! Your commitment to the program will have a positive effect on your business. Excessive absences may lead to termination from the Let’s Do Lunch AV! Program. When “Lunch Buddies” neglect their commitment to go to lunch with the others in their group, it also impacts the effectiveness of the Let’s Do Lunch AV! program. If “Lunch Buddies” think that their fellow “Lunch Buddies” will not show up for lunch, it will weaken the structure of what can be a powerful vehicle for improving the business climate in the Antelope Valley. You are not just supporting Let’s Do Lunch AV! you are also supporting the greater good of the Antelope Valley business community. Obviously, you are in business for not just this week or next, not just this month or next, or not even this year or next. You never know where your next referral is coming from! So mix, mingle and Network yourself to success! |
